Do you struggle with the fear of abandonment. Folks with BPD are often terrified of being abandoned or left alone. Other symptoms may include: unstable relationships, Unclear or shifting self-image, impulsivity, self-destructive behaviors. self harm, extreme emotional mood swings.
Chronic feelings of emptiness. and intense feelings of anger.
Anxious and avoidant attachment styles develop because of an inconsistent relationship with a parent or caregiver during childhood. As an adult this shows up as:
-Anger issues
-Feelings not being in control
-Feelings of being unsafe and alone when surrounded by others
-Self isolation
-Feelings of being abandoned by loved ones
-Unable to stand conflict within relationships
-Unease with authority figures such as your boss or professor
-Trust issues

Caused by long-term repeated trauma such as being with a verbally abusive partner, parent, co worker or friend. This can result in hypervigilance, flash backs, walking on egg shells, anticipating something to go wrong, anxiety, social anxiety, depression and codependency.
A codependent individual seeks validation from others due to early childhood attachment issues. The person more than often attracts manipulative individuals due to their need to care. A highly sensitive person can fall under the definition of codependency. The person then cycles through complex post trauma (CPTSD) as they negotiate the relationship with the toxic individual.
I specialize in assisting codependent individuals hold strong boundaries as they return to their authentic self.
